BigGovernment.com: Was Dems' Healthcare Plan Written in Federal Prison?

My Fellow Americans,

It appears as if the heat has been turned up.  No, this has nothing to do with the global warming hoax.  I'm talking about healthcare.

But, you won't hear a thing about it on the state-controlled media.  The news about the White House party crashers and Tiger Woods with his 100 mistresses...that's the only thing they seem to care about.

However, what has been kept hidden since we heard about the WH crashers is this: it appears as if the healthcare plan the Democrats have been trying to ram through has been the work of a convicted felon.

The Players:
  1. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL)
  2. John Gaudette, the Illinois director of Health Care for America Now (HCAN)
  3. Robert Creamer, convicted felon and husband of Rep. Schakowsky (Creamer pictured on right)
The Highlights:
  1. Rep. Schakowsky’s husband, Robert Creamer, used to be the leader of Citizen Action/Illinois. He also founded its predecessor, Illinois Public Action, in which Ms. Schakowsky served as Program Director. He runs a political consulting firm, the Strategic Consulting Group, which lists ACORN and the SEIU among its clients and which made $541,000 working for disgraced former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich.
  2. Creamer resigned from Citizen Action/Illinois after the FBI began investigating him for bank fraud and tax evasion at Illinois Public Action. He was convicted in 2006 and sentenced to five months in federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, plus eleven months of house arrest.
  3. While in prison—or “forced sabbatical,” he called it—Creamer wrote a lengthy political manual, Listen to Your Mother: Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win (Seven Locks Press, 2007).  The book was endorsed by leading Democrats and their allies, including SEIU boss Andy Stern—the most frequent visitor thus far to the Obama White House—and chief Obama strategist David Axelrod, who noted that Creamer’s tome “provides a blueprint for future victories.”
  4. In the book, Creamer draws lessons from decades of experience on the radical left, including the teachings of arch-radical Saul Alinsky, and several episodes from Rep. Schakowsky’s political career. He also lays out a “Progressive Agenda for Structural Change,” which includes a ten-point plan for foisting universal health care on the American people in 2009.
I would like to thank Andrew Breitbart, Glenn Beck, and the author of the BigGovernment.com story, Joel Pollak.  It really is nice to know that we have people out there who really care about the American people.  Without them doing the mainstream media's job, we would be in the dark on most of this REAL news.

Honestly, America, nothing surprises me anymore.  From the Cloward/Piven strategy to Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, now we have a step-by-step action plan for healthcare specifically for Progressives.

As Pollak notes: "Creamer wrote his plan in 2006, explicitly proposing that it be carried out in 2009, once a “progressive Democrat is elected President” and once Democrats could count on 60 votes in the Senate. It is curious that Creamer, sitting in prison, could have predicted the details and the timing of President Obama’s legislative agenda so precisely."

If you look at everything that is being done, you can see the Obama administration and the Democrats are following Creamer's plan to the letter: “We need to convince political leaders that they owe their elections, at least in part, to the groundswell of support of [sic] universal health care, and that they face political peril if they fail to deliver on universal health care in 2009.”

And how do they want to get the American people on board with their healthcare plan?  One word: FEAR.  Why do you think they bring up doctors cutting off people's feet to make extra money?  Or how millions of Americans are denied coverage based on pre-existing conditions?  They want to scare you.

Creamer adds: “To win we must not just generate understanding, but emotion—fear, revulsion, anger, disgust.”

The Pollak article really is an intriguing (and frightening) read.  I recommend you read the full text of the article.

America, do you get what they are doing to you?  Did we really think that they were going to take over one-sixth of the U.S. economy without a detailed plan?

Well, we know their plan now.  We know their plan step-by-step.  We know it well enough to put an end to it.

Call your representatives in D.C.  Make sure you vote in 2010.

Let's end the madness.  Don't let the work of a convicted felon change your life for the worse.

EPA: Greenhouse Gases Dangerous, Leaked E-mails Just a "Small Blip" (Updated)

Sensenbrenner: Announcement is "Conveniently Timed to Push its Politics."

My Fellow Americans,

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced today that the air we exhale during every breath we take, carbon dioxide, is a dangerous pollutant.  FOX News has more on the story here.

Highlights:
  1. EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson said in a written statement that the finding, which declares carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases a threat to public health, marks the start of a U.S. campaign to tackle greenhouse gas emissions.
  2. The meticulously timed announcement comes on the opening day of the Denmark conference, and could boost the administration's argument that the United States is taking action to combat global warming -- though Congress has yet to pass climate legislation.
  3. Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., ranking Republican on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, told FoxNews.com the EPA is rushing to a decision that may not be based on sound science.
This is more propaganda they are throwing our way, folks.  Of course they will not admit the truth: global warming is a monumental hoax.  We saw the truth come out in the e-mail saga

I wanted to include a few noteworthy quotes from the FOX News article --

Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., ranking Republican on the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming, had this to say in a written statement."They are finalizing the finding just in time for President Obama to travel to Copenhagen. The EPA claims its process is dictated by science, however, it's conveniently timed to push its politics."

Climate reform supporters believe climate-gate is just a "small blip."

Jonathan Pershing, U.S. deputy special envoy for climate change, attending the climate conference in Copenhagen, dismissed the leaked e-mails, saying: "I think it will have virtually no effect at all," he said. "The science is incredibly robust. And as we look forward, I worry much, much more about not acting urgently than what will ultimately be a small blip on the history of this process."

Asked about Pershing's remark, Issa said: "Richard Nixon said that about what Deep Throat had outed about the break-in."

The Refounding Father's Take:

With all the money poured into this mess along with the billions (or trillions) those involved are set to make, how could the EPA come to any other conclusion?

Let's think about this for a second.  The scientists involved HAD to come up with the fabricated results -- not just because man-made global warming is a sham -- but because they needed their government grant money.

And, well, the government would not guarantee the money if they thought the scientists would not reach the proper conclusions on the test work.  So, obviously, they would need them to --- LIE.

This is pure speculation on my part.  But, it does make sense, right?

Where is Al Gore?

"A Date Which Will Live in Infamy"

The Refounding Father Remembers: Pearl Harbor

My Fellow Americans,

President Franklin D. Roosevelt spoke those words 68 years ago on December 8, 1941.

On the previous day, December 7, 1941, more than 2,000 Americans were killed and another 1,000 injured when the Japanese Navy attacked the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii (read more here and here).  Canada responded later that day by declaring war on Japan. The following day on December 8, the United States and United Kingdom also declared war on Japan. In response on December 11, Japan's ally, Germany, declared war on the United States (read more here).

On this December 7th, we remember those who lost their lives that day defending our freedom and serving the United States of America.  We also remember the men and women across the globe who protect us everyday and battle our enemies at home and abroad.

If you see a soldier today (or any day for that matter) thank them for their service.  If they are with family and friends, make sure to thank them too.  The dedication of a soldier's family and friends is just as important as that of the individual fighting for our country.

Never forget that.

"As commander in chief of the Army and Navy I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense. But always will our whole nation remember the character of the onslaught against us. . ." - President Franklin D. Roosevelt, December 8, 1941.  (Read more here).

May God Bless the United States of America.

Quote of the Week & Commentary

"War: an act of violence whose object is to constrain the enemy, to accomplish our will."

My Fellow Americans,

The quote above is attributed to the Commander of the Continental Army and our first President -- none other than George Washington.  For more on George, read his Wikipedia page here.

With Obama's speech on Dec. 1 regarding the surge of troops in Afghanistan, I felt a quote about war was appropriate.  More importantly, a quote about going to war to win would work the best.

As we discussed this week, Obama is not in this war to win it.  If he wanted to win, he would have given our troops in Afghanistan an additional 50,000 to 60,000 troops instead of the 30,000 he announced he would send over the next year and a half.

The object of war, as Washington noted, is to "constrain the enemy" and "accomplish our will."  I don't see Obama's plan doing either of these.

What Obama will do is allow our enemy, the Taliban, to wait us out until after July 2011 (the month he announced the U.S. would start pulling troops from Afghanistan).  Furthermore, his inability to send the reinforcements needed will ensure that the U.S. fails in the Middle East.

Can we come to any other conclusion?  Do I want our fellow Americans to fail over there?  No way.  But, do I think they are being provided the best opportunity for success?  Not in the least.

We can only hope the Obama administration comes to its senses as the plan to send only 30,000 troops unfolds.  If they don't, our men and women overseas are being placed in a greater danger than is necessary.

90-Year-Old Veteran of 3 Wars Told to Remove U.S. Flag

UPDATE: Veteran Wins Battle To Keep His Flagpole in Yard

My Fellow Americans,

In the lastest attack on our nation's flag, a townhouse community association in Henrico County, VA is forcing 90-year-old Col. Van T. Barfoot, a veteran of three wars, to dismantle his flagpole or face a legal battle over violating the association's order.

Let me remind you of the other incidents in which Americans were told they were not allowed to fly the U.S. flag:
  1. The apartment residents in Oregon who were told to take down U.S. flags.
  2. The Chester, PA firefighter who was told to remove an American flag sticker from his locker.
  3. The freshman at the University of New Hampshire who was told he could not display his American flag from his dorm room window.
Now, I understand rules are rules.  And I'm all for people obeying rules.  Rules and laws are what allow our society to be civilized.

But, like most rules, there is always an exception.  No matter what anyone says, unless displaying the flag would cause a person bodily harm, I see no reason why these Americans should remove it.

From what I have heard and read, the Oregon residents and the Chester, PA firefighter were allowed to display their flags.  However, I believe the UNH student was told he could only display it in his dorm room.

At the end of the day, this is the American flag we are talking about.  It is the symbol of all that is good in the world.  It is the symbol of a nation of free people.  People who are able to be what they want to be and do what they want to do without fear of persecution.

Should you find it offensive, you are more than welcome to leave.  If there is any exception to some community association's rule, this is the ONE exception.  And if anyone deserves to fly the flag of his country, it's an American soldier.

It's basic common sense: let Americans fly the American flag.

Frigid Welcome Expected for Obama in PA

My Fellow Americans,

It's time for our President to do what he does best: campaign!  Obama will be heading off to Lehigh Valley, PA today for the start of a multicity tour of Main Street America.

Here are your highlights from The Wall Street Journal:
  1. Swing voters in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley helped Mr. Obama win this pivotal, populous state. But the region's jobless rate inched up another half percentage point in October to 9.8 percent. About 41,000 people are out of work, the highest number since 1984.
  2. Small businesses that power the economy here are starved for credit and laying people off. Stimulus dollars for roads, bridges, schools and social services are mired in Washington and state bureaucracy.
  3. During Mr. Obama's daylong visit, he will hold a town-hall meeting at Lehigh Carbon Community College, visit a local diner and a metalworks plant, and mingle with workers at a dog-food distribution plant.

Now for The Refounding Father's Take: What is Obama going to tell the people of Lehigh Valley, PA?  What is he going to tell the rest of Main Street America?  Will he say that the stimulus package is working?  (Because it's not).  Will he say we need to be more patient?  (We have been patient, but we don't need the government to bail us out).

The Philadelphia Inquirer talked to some Lehigh Valley residents including Michele Cocchiaro, 35, a veterinary assistant married to a lawyer.  Here are some excerpts from that article:

"[Cocchiaro] said that she isn't hurting, but that she knows a lot of people who are unemployed and struggling.

"Nothing's changed," she said. The government doesn't need to spend the rest of the $787 billion stimulus money, "because it's not working."

Instead, the government should give people a tax rebate or create incentives for small businesses to start hiring.

"This money that they're spending isn't stimulating anything," she said.

The Congressional Budget Office would disagree, announcing yesterday that the money had created between 600,000 and 1,600,000 jobs, lowering overall unemployment by 0.3 to 0.9 of a percentage point."

If the stimulus package created over 600,000 jobs, that's great.  But, where are they?  They certainly aren't jobs in Lehigh Valley, PA.  Where are the jobs they speak of?

America, are we dumb?  When politicians speak, do our minds go blank because they are so much smarter than us that we can't comprehend what they are saying?

The stimulus package has done absolutely nothing.  No jobs have been created.  No jobs have been saved.  Economists have never even heard of a 'saved job' because it's not a statistic that exists.  Most of the information reported is bogus.

They are lying to you.  Obama will be lying to the people of Lehigh Valley, PA today.  He will lie to the rest of Main Street America too.

He's embarking on yet another campaign tour -- part of his ongoing perpetual campaign to influence policy and ensure the Democrats stay in power.

Don't be fooled.  Don't be afraid to question your leaders.  If something smells funny, investigate it.  That's they only way you will learn.  Pull back the layers and see what's really going on here.

Don't be afraid to stand up.

Dean: Obama's Perpetual Campaign is By Design

My Fellow Americans,

Put one in the win column for us conservatives (well, sort of).  It really depends on how you interpret it whether you agree with my statement there.  Let's just say we were right about something: Barack Obama's presidency is basically an ongoing campaign.

But, it actually goes further than that.

The player: Howard Dean, former DNC chair.

The highlights:
  • Andrew Breitbart unearthed this video footage of former DNC chair Howard Dean speaking in Paris back in April.
  • Dean confirms many conservative pundits' hunches that Barack Obama's presidency is essentially a perpetual campaign by stating it outright.
  • It is a campaign not just to win elections for the Democratic Party, but to influence policy indefinitely into the future.
  • Dean goes on to bash capitalism and say we need a blend of capitalism and socialism in America.
I really didn't want to be right about this.  Yet, it's even crazier than I realized.  It's not that Obama doesn't know what he's doing.  It's not that he's overwhelmed by being President and uses the campaign method to rally support for his causes.

It's so much more than that.

This is by design, folks.  And that's what scares me the most (and it should scare you too).

It is scary because when you realize this isn't just about winning elections, but to also influence policy, you begin to realize the depths to which this could change our way of life.  Let's be honest with ourselves: it has already started.

They want to change the system.  Obamacare.  Cap & Tax.  Stimulus.  TARP (Bush's, I know).  They want to keep power within the Democratic Party.  And how do you do that?  By making sure the people feel they need you.  They don't even have to REALLY need you.  They just need to feel like they do.

Remember the woman in Detroit who was so excited about getting money from Obama?  "It's Obama's money!" she exclaimed.  That's one way of doing it.

A better way to ensure the long-lasting "neediness" of society is: The Cloward/Piven Strategy.  You may have heard Glenn Beck talk about the C/P Strategy before.  If you don't know what it is, read up here.

Quick info from American Thinker: The Cloward/Piven Strategy is named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. Their goal is to overthrow capitalism by overwhelming the government bureaucracy with entitlement demands. The created crisis provides the impetus to bring about radical political change.

The object is to: OVERTHROW CAPITALISM.  Not create a capitalism/socialism mix like Dean explained.

While it may seem that I went off on a tangent here, let me tie it all together.  This is by design.  The Obama administration and the Democrats need you to need them.  That's how they get their goals accomplished.  That's why Obama is constantly campaigning.  It all ties in with the "Change We Can Believe In" motto.  He wants to "completely transform the United States of America."

And he's doing it.  Bit by bit he's doing it.

I just can't believe in it.

Obama to Terrorists: You Win In 2011

My Fellow Americans,

I finally decided how I wanted to approach Obama's Afghanistan speech from last night.  And it didn't take me 3 months to do it!

I found this article on the National Review website.  It is Sarah Palin's response to the speech via Facebook.  Palin applauds Obama for deciding to finally help military commanders accomplish their mission.

But, she says he is sending our troops and enemies the wrong message: "We should be clear, however, that fewer troops mean assuming more risk. Talk of an exit date also risks sending the wrong message. We should be in Afghanistan to win, not to set a timetable for withdrawal that signals a lack of resolve to our friends, and lets our enemies believe they can wait us out."

It appears the worries of exit dates and the Taliban waiting us out is echoed across the pond.  Simon Jenkins of the UK's Guardian believes Obama's plan is one of desperation.  He says Obama has no stomach for this fight.

I think many would agree with him and Palin.  Obama has no idea what he's doing when it comes to the military and war.  Yet, he is arrogant enough to think he has all the right answers.

If he really cared about winning (which I don't think he does), he would give McChrystal the 40,000 troops he asked for and then tack on 10,000 or 20,000 more.  But, he won't do that.  If you ask me, the speech last night was a major inconvenience for him.

While he finally gave the military in Afghanistan it's much needed support, the truth of the matter is he came up short.  This surge he says will take place over the next 18 months will come up short.  This President is not in it to win it.

And when you play the games Obama is playing, including waiting 3 months to make any decision on the matter, you risk more than just losing the game.  You risk American lives.

Rep. Issa: "ACORN is a Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of the Democratic Party"

House Republicans Blast Democrats, Obama Over Alleged ACORN Ties

My Fellow Americans,

With all the story lines out there -- from Afghanistan to the White House party crashers -- we cannot forget about other major issues here at home.  One of those issues is the President's connection to the corrupt ACORN group.

According to Fox News, "[a] handful of House Republicans did their best on Tuesday to shame Democrats and the Obama administration for its supposed connections to the controversial anti-poverty group ACORN."

The players: Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif, Rep. Dan Burton, R-Ind, Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa (the ACORN king), Hans von Spakovsky of the Heritage Foundation, Anita MonCrief, a former ACORN worker-turned- whistleblower, and Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita (Republican).

The highlights:
  • Republicans voiced complaints that Democrats are not moving forward with investigations into the organization that is alleged to have committed widespread voter fraud to support Democratic candidates, in violation of the group's tax-exempt status;
  • Another source of frustration for Republicans is a legal decision from the Justice Department, made public last week, that says officials at Housing and Urban Development can honor its existing contracts with ACORN despite a recently passed law forbidding federal funds from going to the group.
  • Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita blamed ACORN for producing hundreds of bogus registration in just one Northern Indiana County.
I still find it hard to believe that we are still talking about ACORN.  I would have thought that the tapes of the individuals posing as a pimp and prostitute would be enough to end any government ties with the group.

Obviously, I was wrong.  Nothing really shocks me with the Obama White House anymore.  These are Obama's people.  The same goes with SEIU.  (After all, SEIU President Andy Stern does visit the White House a lot!).

While Democrats and the White House will down play any negative association with ACORN, the fact of the matter is President Obama knows what the group is about.  I mean, he has had ties to the group for about 20 years.  Why do YOU think investigations have hit a wall?  Would Obama have even been elected were it not for ACORN and their bogus registrations?  We already know they have been in trouble with voter fraud before (refer to the map above to see the states where fraud took place).

What people who blindly support ACORN (outside of the government) fail to realize is that, aside from the illegal acts, the group is designed to help the poor STAY poor -- by feeling comfortable in their poverty.  It was the great Ben Franklin who said: "If you want to help the poor, help them feel uncomfortable in their poverty."  That is exactly what ACORN doesn't do -- they keep the poor -- POOR.

On his Nov. 11 TV show on the Fox News Channel, Glenn Beck stated: "[Our] Founders all knew that government programs were not the answer to poverty. Making people comfortable in their poverty is not the answer to getting them out of poverty. It is the answer for government officials who gain power by making sure that the poverty stricken become permanently dependent upon, them. May I just give you the one word: Detroit."  I think you would agree that Mr. Beck is right on the money with that statement.

Anti-poverty?  That's the farthest thing from what this corrupt group really is.  Let's end the federal funding to this joke of an organization -- for good this time.

Dying Man Robbed in Philadelphia Hospital

My Fellow Americans,

Some of the stories I bring you are troubling to say the least.  This one may be one of the worst.  Read the full story here.

The victim: Joaquin Rivera, 63, who died of a heart attack and was robbed (pictured on right).

The lowlifes: Richard Alten, 44, who was arrested in the hospital and is currently in police custody (pictured below), a black woman, and a 30-something, 5-foot-8 black man in dark pants who limped.

People really amaze me.  Earlier this week, it was Maurice Clemmons, the criminal who killed 4 unsuspecting Seattle police officers as they worked on their laptops in a suburban coffee shop.  Today it's the lowlifes I mention above.

How can people steal from a dying man?  How can stealing even be an option when you see somebody lose consciousness?

I just can't fathom somebody being that cruel and just plain EVIL.  It really is very sad.

On top of that, I think I want to add a few more lowlifes to the list above: the hospital staff that forced Mr. Rivera to wait for over an hour for treatment.  The theft aside, how can you just let a guy wait there when he is complaining of pain in his left arm and abdomen?  Isn't that one of the top indications of a potential heart attack?  Should that not warrant an immediate trip to the emergency room for Mr. Rivera?

They force a man to wait over an hour -- what do you think it would have been like for Mr. Rivera under  government-run healthcare?

This really is just a story about the bane of human existence.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Rivera family.

May God Bless You.
