Obama to Terrorists: You Win In 2011

My Fellow Americans,

I finally decided how I wanted to approach Obama's Afghanistan speech from last night.  And it didn't take me 3 months to do it!

I found this article on the National Review website.  It is Sarah Palin's response to the speech via Facebook.  Palin applauds Obama for deciding to finally help military commanders accomplish their mission.

But, she says he is sending our troops and enemies the wrong message: "We should be clear, however, that fewer troops mean assuming more risk. Talk of an exit date also risks sending the wrong message. We should be in Afghanistan to win, not to set a timetable for withdrawal that signals a lack of resolve to our friends, and lets our enemies believe they can wait us out."

It appears the worries of exit dates and the Taliban waiting us out is echoed across the pond.  Simon Jenkins of the UK's Guardian believes Obama's plan is one of desperation.  He says Obama has no stomach for this fight.

I think many would agree with him and Palin.  Obama has no idea what he's doing when it comes to the military and war.  Yet, he is arrogant enough to think he has all the right answers.

If he really cared about winning (which I don't think he does), he would give McChrystal the 40,000 troops he asked for and then tack on 10,000 or 20,000 more.  But, he won't do that.  If you ask me, the speech last night was a major inconvenience for him.

While he finally gave the military in Afghanistan it's much needed support, the truth of the matter is he came up short.  This surge he says will take place over the next 18 months will come up short.  This President is not in it to win it.

And when you play the games Obama is playing, including waiting 3 months to make any decision on the matter, you risk more than just losing the game.  You risk American lives.
